I have had to search low and high to find hair dyes like this on the high street. Finaly Boots have brought me Bleach!!
All the colours look amazing, but I tried this one on my dip dyed hair The dip dye is only a light gingery brown, not bleach white like it suggests you cover, however It still covered and left a rich plum colour that was perfect for the party I had this weekend.
I did leave it on for an hour, rather than the suggested 15 mins though, as my hair is so dark naturally!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Tone tip
Posted 14 November 2013
If you've not got it sorted already, one idea would be to get yourself a cheap red semi-permanent hair dye.
You can either ;
1. Use the dye outright, and because red is the opposite of green it will take, but it won't be as intense as it normally would be.
2. If you just want to try and tone the green out mix a tiny tiny drop into some conditioner, make sure it's thoroughly mixed in (otherwise you'll get patches) and leave it on your hair for 10-20mins depending on how bad the green is. If you do it right it SHOULD tone out the green to an extent, depending on how much you mixed in and how long you left it on.
Whenever you have colour nightmares like this get out that colour wheel that you made in your primary school art class, and choose the opposite colour, you can do a fairly safe toner yourself by using the mix-a-tiny-bit-with-conditioner trick, and it should counter the problem colour. That's why things like Silver shampoo are violet, because violet is the opposite of yellow, and it counters the yellow tones. (I use trick 2 with violet dye on my blonde hair all the time)
I'm not a professional at all, by the way, I've just dyed my hair way too many colours and this always works out for me.

I decided to embrace my grey hair last year & stop covering up my multitude of grey hairs, strip my hair & go for a purple rinse.
Between me & my hairdresser we've had a few hits & misses & eventually devised a way to do a lilac/purple rinse using Directions. Only problem is that we had to take it quite dark till it washed out to the colour we wanted. I thought the only solution would be to go the Bleach Salon on London & ask them to do the colour there - with train fares it would be about £400 every 5 weeks . This Parma Violets is a god - send - gets the colour right immediately, leaves a lovely lilac /pinkish hue on my hair - very Kelly O. Lasts really well & everyone comments on the colour...this takes all the DIY ness out of trying to create a lilac wash.

i brought this product because I was feeling a little bored with my blonde hair. Didn't want nothing permanent just add a little bit of colour. However left the colour on for 15minutes and was rather shocked when I washed the colour off to find my hair had gone shocking purple but not just one shade I had different shades of purple in patches. It states it should wash out in 10 washes, well with every wash the colour changed. after day 3 of washing it I had big patches of bright blue and my hair was patches of all colours. After the 7th wash my hair was aqua blue and pulled 2 inches of my blonde colour out from the roots so I was left with 2 inch ginger roots and multi-coloured patches. 3 weeks after putting it in and my hair is green and the colour is not budging!! after a £65 hairdressing bill to try and fix it iv been left with dry damaged hair and still a tint of green!! do not recommend this at all if u dye your hair blonde

Absolutely loved this dye for the first couple of days,made my hair a super cool bang on trend pastel purple but instead of fading after washing, the pigments turned green!!:( my hair was dip dyed blonde a year ago and has not been bleached or dyed since, so I figured a wash out purple would be a safe semi permanent colour change...I was wrong.my hair is now a greenish/turquoise colour with no signs of budging! (Quite cool if that's the look you are going for but it doesn't suit me!) I guess this may be the reason the company make their 'washing out' shampoo.... Sad because I really did love the original purple pastel colour! Worth taking the risk? Unfortunately I won't be using it again :( x

This colour is fantastic and vibrant, and you can mix with conditioner to lighten the colour into a pastel/lavender shade. Because of the blue base of this colour, it is also good as a toner. However, it does leave some blue residue after the red pigments in the dye have washed out. In this case, use some awkward peach to tone these out.
